FAQ

Yes—AF1 have a wide, flat toe box and soft leather, so creasing is normal. Minimize it by wearing the right size, rotating pairs, lacing snugly (not tight), adding crease protectors and storing with shoe trees after wear.

Yes—compatible when inserted correctly.

Most creases are cosmetic. Very deep creases can stress the upper and, over time, lead to surface cracks—especially if the material dries out. Clean regularly, avoid overdrying heat, use crease protectors, and store with shoe trees to keep the shape.

For new/undamaged pairs, choose Crease protector V2 Foam (lightweight prevention). For already worn/creased pairs, pick V3 Gel Tech (more fill and comfort). Both are AF1/J1 compatible when trimmed and inserted correctly.

Yes, if you choose the right size and trim them to your shoe. Expect a snugger forefoot. The gel version (V3) adds cushioning for pairs that already have some creasing. Not recommended for high-intensity sports.

Insert shoe trees, then use low, indirect heat with a cloth (e.g., warm air from a hairdryer, or a low-heat iron through a damp cloth) and let the material relax—go slow to avoid damage. Avoid high heat and be extra careful with suede/nubuck (prefer gentle steaming only). Afterward, use crease protectors to help maintain the shape.
